Birthday Boy!

Over the weekend we had a little party to celebrate Hunter's First Birthday! Wow, I can't believe it's already been a year. Hunter is such a blessing to our family. It makes me want to cry to see how big he's gotten. He's growing so fast and developing so quick. His sister's are just as crazy about him today as they were one year ago. Here are a few pictures from the party at Nina & Pop's house.
He loved the tissue paper!
Hunter probably won't like cowboys but we think of him as our little cowboy! So, I had a cupcake cake made to look like a boot. It turned out pretty cute.
Here he is before the mess...
And after...he loved that cupcake! He ate every bite. He sneezed chocolate for a couple of days afterwards. I just love this picture...it really shows off his beautiful blue eyes.
It seems like yesterday that I was holding him for the first time. It's been a wonderful year. He went to the doctor for his one year checkup and weighed 24 lbs. 2 oz. His length is 31 3/4 inches. Doctor Stewart said he's just a precious boy. We think so too!

Track & Field Days & H.O.F.N.O.D. Fishing Derby

Last week was event filled. Kindergarten track & field on Monday, Third grade track & field on Tuesday, and the third grade fishing derby was on Thursday. Here are some pictures of the week...

Here is Haleigh and the girls that ran the hurdles. I had a doctor's appt in town and actually missed her running the hurdles but was informed by other parent's that she did great!

This is Haleigh running the 50 meter dash. She won!
This event was the shuttle run. You had a bucket of sticks(3) at the starting line and on the whistle you had to pick up one stick and run it to the other bucket (down the field) and drop it and continue until start bucket was empty.
Here is a picture of Hannah with her first catch of the day!
Hannah with the Game & Fish Hooked On Fishing Not On Drugs Truck!
Hannah and her friend competing in the finals of the Bocci (pronounced Ba-Chi) Ball event. Not sure of the correct spelling! At any rate...you have about a 5 yard section and you get two chances to get your ball as close to the line without going over.
This is Hannah doing the shuttle run also!
And the jump rope race.
