Merry Christmas!

I've been really busy lately and it doesn't look like things will slow down for at least a few more weeks. So, I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in case I don't get to post anything for a few more weeks.

Kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast

This morning the kindergarten classes relived the "First Thanksgiving" by enjoying a feast. Each class was responsible for bringing different food items such as summer sausage, cheese, crackers, fruits, and veggies. The kids were asked to dress as an Indian or Pilgrim. So, we recruited some help to get an Indian dress made for the occassion. Thanks Nina! The dress really turned out great...Haleigh was very proud of it. This is a picture of her and her best friend.
Wow, it's so hard to believe that Thanksgiving is next week! I'm ready...I've taken off work to spend some time with the kids since they're out of school all week. We really have a lot to be thankful for but I guess I'd have to say that my family and the health of my family is probably what I'm most thankful for. I thank God everyday for giving me the family I have been blessed with and for our good health. We are very fortunate.

First Tooth!

It's a little hard to see but we now have our first tooth! It actually came through the skin on Friday, October 26th. Of all the pictures we took trying to get an up close shot of the tooth and this came out the best...when we weren't even trying! The neighbor to this tooth is really trying to show itself too. Probably in a couple of days he'll have it.

Halloween 2007

Here are some pictures I was able to take on Halloween night.
Our kids...AKA...Hannah Montana, Glitter (Good) Witch, and Leo Lion!

Well, my camera bit the dust on me so I only have a few pictures to share from Halloween. It's a good thing we had Fall Festival at church on Sunday night because that's all the Trick-or-Treating my kids did. We usually take them to a few houses on Halloween night but this year we had some sickly ones. We enjoyed some much needed family time at home with the kids this year for Halloween. We carved some pumpkins, ate ice cream, and watched a movie together!

Quick update...

Sorry it's been so long since the last update. School got started and so did the busy schedules! We've had something every weekend since late August. Doesn't look like it's going to slow down anytime soon.
I wanted to post a recent picture of the entire crew. A friend of ours took this picture a couple of weeks ago. I'll try to post a few more later.

Back To School...

Well...here we are...the first day back at school! Kindergarten and 3rd grade! WOW! They are growing up fast. Both girls were up and at 'em early this morning ready to sport new clothes and shoes. Hannah was a little nervous as we headed to school but Haleigh was ready (or so she thought). We dropped Hannah off first and wished her a great day. Then off to Haleigh's class where we come into a room full of crying children and parents! (Well, just two or three) The look on Haleigh's face was priceless! That look said, "Hey...I thought this was supposed to be fun...why is everyone so upset?" But she was a very BIG GIRL and did just awesome. I can't wait to pick them up this afternoon. Both girls seemed to have gotten really nice teachers this year. Haleigh ended up with two kids in her class from preschool. Hannah also has two really good friends in her class as well. I hope we have a great year!

Dog Days of Summer!

Well, summer is winding down. Actually, from the looks of the weather it might just be starting. We've been very fortunate weather wise this year. Only one week and one day until school is back in session...WOW! We find out teacher assignments tomorrow.
No pictures to post this week.
Last week we had Family Faith Week at church. This was in place of our annual VBS program. We had a children's evangelist from Kentucky lead our services. We had a great time!
Saturday we took a road trip to visit the newest member of the family...Shawn's niece, Randi Lee. She was born on Friday. She's such a cutie! We left the girls to stay the week with their Mimi & Papaw. If they make it this will be their longest stay away from home. We're missing them so much! I think even baby brother has noticed they are gone. Can't wait to see them tomorrow.
Last night we attended the Travs baseball game with First Kids Ministries at the new Dickey Stephens Park. They really have a nice facility. It was a little on the HOT side and of course the game had to go into extra innings. All in all it was a good time.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Swimming!

Here is Hunter enjoying his first swim. He loved his new floatie...thank you Nina! He loves the water. The girls liked swimming with him. Haleigh splashed him several times but he never cried. It's hard to believe that he'll be 3 mo. old on Friday. This summer has flown. School starts back up in two weeks. Haleigh will start kindergarten this year and Hannah will be in 3rd grade. I really enjoyed getting to spend most of the summer with all three kids.

A Day at the Lake...

A few weeks ago some of our friends were camped at Greers Ferry Lake and we went to spend the day with them. The kids had a blast...tubing, swimming, and boating. Hunter slept almost the whole time we were out in the boat. Here are a few pictures...

The Kids

This is one of my most favorite pictures of the kids. It was taken a few weeks back by a friend. Just thought I'd share it with you.

Sorry it's been so long since I've blogged. My pc has not been allowing me to log on. At any rate, here is a picture of the crew on the 4th of July. Hunter has found his hands so he keeps them close to his mouth! He's growing so fast. He has two big sisters that think he's it! They are a lot of help, too. I'll try to keep this a little more current from now on.

Busy, busy...

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted anything. We're just two weeks from welcoming our new addition. Both girls are in full force with softball and our schedules have just been crazy lately. This will probably be my last update until the little one arrives. Hopefully then I'll be able to have some time and post updates a little more often while I'm home from work. Who am I kidding...well, until next time.

Hog Wild!

Last Saturday we took the girls along with several friends from church to the Arkansas vs. Kentucky basketball game in Fayetteville. We had a great time. The girls loved it! Here are a couple of pictures...

Eventhough the Razorbacks couldn't pull out the win, we still enjoyed the ballgame. Our two UK fans were very nice on the ride back home. They didn't rub it in too bad!

Well, I don't know if I've shared the news that we're having a baby boy! Yes, 3rd times a charm I guess. We're all very excited. Hannah was as excited as Shawn was, I think. His name is going to be Hunter Grant. We're beginning to work on the room. The doctor says my date will likely be May 3rd or 4th. It's not long.

Not much else going on around our house. Hannah is playing Upward Basketball so we have games every weekend. She has another Bible quiz meet this Saturday as well. Then we are attending my nephew's one year birthday party that evening. WOW! Time does fly. I can't believe he's about to be ONE. We can't wait to see him.

Until next time...

Blog Issues!

Sorry, it's been so long since I've posted anything. I converted my blog to the new version and haven't been able to log on since.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year! We had a wonderful holiday season. I hope to be able to post pictures of our festivities soon!
Here are a couple of pictures of the girls new pet. His name is Peanut and he's about two years old. I don't believe I've seen them more excited than the day their daddy told them we were getting a horse.
Well, better run for now but I'll get some Christmas pics out there real soon!
